The purpose of the Beacon is to illustrate the history and development of the Copeland Region by collecting, preserving, displaying and interpreting or making available for study artefacts, maps, pictures and other relevant material.
In order to make the collections more accessible, an online database is being created. Eventually all collections will be available to browse on the Beacon’s website.
